The MPblog (Manuel Padilla Blog) was created to discuss issues related to green living, in combination with other issues that help the welfare of our society. We know that there are probably thousands of websites related to green living, but only a few mainstream topics such as minimalism, design, and the good life as an essential part of the green living.
Our site serves as a venue to disseminate information about activities that benefit our environment, education on green living, and also serves as a place to share personal views and experiences that can be used by other individuals with similar interests.
Our Website
The MPblog is running under an ECO-FRIENDLY web hosting service. Our web hosting provider, 1&1, has partnered with the Bonneville Environmental Foundation (BEF) to offset 100% of the energy usage of 1&1’s data center in Lenexa, Kansas by purchasing Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs). The majority of the RECs will be sourced from the Bowersock Mills and Power Company’s hydroelectric facility in Lawrence, Kansas. This hydroelectric facility is certified low impact by the Low Impact Hydro Institute (LIHI).
