Is John Casablancas Modeling “Agency” a SCAM?
If you are interested in a modeling career, and you have some experience, and you think you are ready to be represented by a modeling agency, one of the things you have to worry about is scams. There are some people that call themselves “modeling agencies” and what they do is to take advantage of your innocence. After they “train” you to be a model, they never call you back.
A few weeks ago I was in a modeling activity, and one of my models friends told me to be careful with John Casablancas. They select any kind of people, even those with no teeth. They say anyone can be a model, and that’s not true. To be a model you have to have certain characteristics or certain attributes. John Casablancas selects anything.
I went to this particular location, in Timonium, MD, to check if it was true, and my experience was horrible. They are very unprofessional, and the environment is poor. If you want to risk your money, time, effort, etc. go to them. If you want to take your modeling career seriously, go to a real agency, and not to John Casablancas.
