The Anti-Green Human

August 12th, 2010 | Comments Off | Posted in Minimalism / Lifestyles

Green Human

Today I have decided to write about the anti-green human because there is some confusion when it comes to being “green.” On several occasions I have talked about my inclination to be more green each day, and is very common to hear people saying that I’m not a green because I do not spend the required amount of money.

Being green has nothing to do with spending more money. In fact, the idea behind the green man is saving in the short or long term. The green man is always looking for new ways to reduce the energy costs, water service costs, transportation costs, etc. Being green is living more naturally and avoid excessive consumption of products. Being green is to invest wisely on products that will last longer. Being green is doing more with less; to increase efficiency without sacrificing quality. Being green is living in harmony with nature, not to destroy nature. Being green is to live healthily, and avoid medical consultations due to complications that were unnecessary. The green individual lives without stress, thus is more productive, and has more time to devote to his family and personal matters.
